Registration closed.

About this event

The Mindful Manners class is designed to use fun, reward-based games and exercises to teach your dog how to control his or her impulsivity and look to you for guidance in distracting or difficult situations. Your dog will learn to automatically say please by sitting for treats, then for petting, and then for everything else he or she wants. Your dog must be physically able to sit without pain. Not all dogs benefit from group training classes. Your dog may not be appropriate for group class if they: Are excessively shy of new people or situations Are easy overstimulated by new situations Bark, snark, or snarl at other dogs or people Have a bite history of either people or other animals Dogs who exhibit behaviors incompatible with a group training setting will be dismissed from class without refund. This class meets for 4 consecutive Wednesdays.
