This class is an introduction to basic woodworking joinery. In this class you will build a functional and beautiful box out of your choice of domestic hardwoods using a splined miter joint. This course will cover safe power and hand tool use, a variety of jigs used to cut parts for your box, and simple and effective finishing techniques. We will also spend time discussing wood and its properties so you can design and build strong and functional woodworking projects on your own. Students under 18 may attend with parental permission
