About this event
Magic the Gathering is a fantasy card game with a huge, long-running following. This club invites both new and experienced players to participate in casual play and organized tournaments within the club setting. Weekly sessions will focus on different play styles including Standard, Modern, Commander, 2-Headed Giant, Draft, and Sealed formats. Students are encouraged to bring their own cards and decks applicable to each format according to the schedule, which will be given out at the first meeting. There will also be a few decks available for newbies to borrow at each session. In the Draft format, each student will receive 3 packs (45 cards). In Sealed, each student will receive 6 packs (90 cards). The cost of cards is included in the club registration fee. Small prizes will be given out periodically - some to tournament winners, others at random or based on whimsical criteria of my choice.
