Whether you’re brand new to pottery or looking for extra practice and studio time, this class is for you! This course covers the basics of creating functional pottery and can be taken once or repeated again and again. Each student will receive individual attention from our instructor to help you solidify your skills on the wheel. Instructor-led classes are held from 11AM-2PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays and will cover a variety of topics from centering on the potter’s wheel to glazing bisqueware. On Wednesdays and Fridays of the session, students will have optional, uninstructed open studio time in the ceramics studio, also from 11AM-2PM. Students are encouraged to attend every Tuesday and Thursday class, but can choose to attend all other dates as desired. This is a great way to become comfortable with wheel throwing and to get to know the Ah Haa Ceramics Studio!* *this class is a prerequisite for Open Studio Membership Please note: All ceramics projects need to be fired in a pottery kiln and take approximately 2-4 weeks before they are ready to be taken home. You will receive an email once pieces are ready for pickup. If you will no longer be in Telluride, domestic shipping options are available via a third party, Ship It, Copy It. If you have not made arrangements with our Ceramics Director, Ah Haa will discard ceramics projects 30 days after the end of a class. For those who need to have their pieces shipped domestically, please be sure to select this option during the registration process. The total cost for safely packaging and shipping your ceramics projects will be listed on the online registration page for each class. Take note that Ah Haa does not offer international shipping as a standard option.
