Instructor: David Lalomia, Sewickley Academy Ceramics Instructor In this course, students will spend the majority of their time working on the wheel. There will be several demonstrations in order to teach the students a certain technique, but the students will be on the wheel for the majority of their time. In this course the focus will be set on creating simple bowls, and after this milestone is mastered, students will try their hands at trimming the bowls. Students who are entering the course with prior knowledge and experience will be encouraged to move at their own pace with additional assistance and encouragement from Mr. Lalomia. Students will get dirty, so please wear clothing and shoes that you don't mind dirtying. Students are encouraged to bring a light snack and water bottle.
