“Reflections” kayak paddle day adventure and workshop will take in, the scenic beauty and diverse wildlife of Nehalem Bay, where the North Coast’s mountains meet the sea. Resident Roosevelt Elk, River Otters, Harbor Seals and abundant bird life frequent this river, bay, and ocean environment. Be instructed on safety, paddling techniques and current patterns by two exceptional NW women kayak instructors and Certified Kayak Guides, from Kayak Tillamook. Two hour plus paddle of the bay and waterways. Enjoy nutritious and delicious Chef catered NW organic, seasonal seafood bowls for lunch on the beach. Reflections workshop follows in women’s circle with pre-event journaling worksheet and wonderful conversation and connection exploring how reflective life and our own lives are to us and what can be learned from that. All instruction, paddle adventure, workshop circle, kayak equipment, equipment transportation, breakfast scones, lunch, snacks, souvenir tee-shirt (or cap), group photos shared on social media, and NWWSC 2024 Tidebooks are included. No paddling experience required. PFDs are provided for all. Fitness level needs to be moderately active, with good cardio to be able to paddle waterway comfortably for 2 hours.
