Children’s Advocacy of Hidalgo and Starr Counties proudly presents the 3rd Annual “Strike Out” Child Abuse Tournament, a community-driven initiative to raise awareness and support for the prevention of child abuse and to raise cirtical funds. This year, we're thrilled to announce an exciting addition to our event lineup - the inaugural youth tournament!

Youth Tournament Details:
- Date: Saturday, June 22, 2024
- Locations:
- Location 1: San Juan Municipal Park, 506 US-83 Bus, San Juan, TX (8U and 10U)
- Location 2: San Juan Sports Complex, 1419 S. San Antonio, San Juan, TX (12U and 14U)
- Age Divisions: 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U
- Format: Double Elimination, no pool games
- Total Slots per Division: 8
- Prizes: Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runner-ups, along with t-shirts and medals for participants.
This exciting day of youth softball promises thrilling competition as young athletes showcase their skills on the field while supporting a vital cause.
Adult Co-Ed Softball Tournament Details:
- Date: Sunday, June 23, 2024
- Locations:
- Location 1: San Juan Municipal Park, 506 US-83 Bus, San Juan, TX
- Location 2: San Juan Sports Complex, 1419 S. San Antonio, San Juan, TX
- Eligibility: Participants aged 16 and up
- Format: Single Elimination
- Total Slots for Co-Ed Teams: 20
Additional Features:
- Kids Activities: Enjoy a variety of fun-filled activities for children, provided by community businesses and non-profit organizations, creating a vibrant atmosphere for families to partake in.
- Entrance Fee: $6.00 per day to the park, with proceeds directly benefiting child victims of abuse from Hidalgo to Starr County.
- Food and Drinks: Indulge in delicious refreshments available for purchase, as every bite and sip contributes to our mission of helping children in need. Teams are required to bring their own equipment. Water is permitted; however, other drink and food items will be available for purchase at the event to fundraise.
- Free Parking: Parking is complimentary for all attendees.
- Opening Ceremony: Kick off the festivities at 8:00 AM with an inspiring opening ceremony, featuring team rules discussion, ceremonial first pitch thrown by community leaders, and collaborative efforts among our partners and community members.
