On May 4th, 2024, the East Georgia Cancer Coalition is hosting its 11th annual Miles for Moms Run/Walk. This race will give us the opportunity to increase cancer awareness in an effort to decrease deaths due to cancer. All ages are invited! The race is in-person but if you're registering here (on Active) you are registering for the virtual event! Virtual event participants are not eligible for prizes. Instructions will be emailed upon registration. After April 25, t-shirts will be provided based on availability.
T-shirt and Packet Pickup will take place at the East Georgia Cancer Coalition office. More information on pickup dates or shipment options will be emailed to participants.
Event details and schedule
About us: The EGCC serves residents within our 53 county region. Our programs impact cancer and patients at every stage from prevention, screening, treatment all the way through survivorship.
Programs include:
- Breast cancer screening
- Colorectal cancer screening
- Health navigation
- Survivor exercise classes
- Survivor/patient massage therapy
- Survivor/patient skincare
- Patient supportive services
- Support groups
- Skin cancer prevention for the homeless
- Cooking and nutrition
- Tobacco and vaping education and prevention
- Worksite health education and screening
It is only through the generosity of our funders and donors that we can continue our battle against cancer in east Georgia. 100% of the EGCC's donations, programs and services remain in east Georgia.
