US History - Teacher: Hangartner

Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (On Campus) • 27118 Silver Spur Road Rolling Hills EstatesCA  90274 Organized by PEF PVPSS - High School

About this event

Prerequisite: Grades 11 – 12 This course analyzes American political, social, and economic behavior during major periods in history. There is a focus on the multiple factors that affect continuity, outstanding contributions of individual Americans, change in ethnic composition of American society, the movement toward equal rights for racial minorities and women, and the expanding role of the Federal government in addressing critical issues. Students can finish this class in only four weeks, due to the exciting new format of our onsite history classes. An excellent teacher will be guiding students directly in the classroom through a program called UC Scout. Although students do not physically attend class after July 11 (end of the fourth week), anyone who has not completed the course by then will have until July 25 to finish online. Please note that students cannot work ahead of the four-week pacing guide, nor can they fall behind the six-week pacing guide. We reserve the right to combine or collapse courses due to insufficient enrollment and to reassign staff as necessary to better ensure that we are able to deliver a strong, balanced and effective level of direct instruction.
