Farm Strong Obstacle Course Race 2024
You may be gym strong but are you “Farm Strong”?
The Farm Strong OCR is a unique farmwork inspired challenge course that combines more than a dozen obstacles to create an event like no other. Prepare to get wet, muddy, and have a lot of “fun”!
The Farm Strong OCR at Waid Park was co-designed by the Spartan SGX Coach Team at Ferguson Fitness and Franklin County Parks and Recreation. It will be held rain or shine on Saturday June 1st at 9:00 am.
The $25.00 registration fee includes the chip timed event and a Farm Strong Logo t-shirts thanks to title sponsor James River Equipment Rocky Mount.
Pre-registration deadline is May 27th at 11:59pm. Beginning May 28th registration fee will increase by $10.00.
Bonus: Immediately following the event all registered participants get free access to River of Lights from 10:00am to 2:00 pm. Cool off and enjoy a relaxing no shuttle needed 30-minute float down the Pigg River. Non-registered guests may participate for only $5.00.
Farm Strong Kids OCR will be held from 11:30-12:00. Kids 12 and under may participate in the individually timed event for free. The modified short course will be in close proximity to the main event area.
What to expect: Franklin County farm inspired obstacle course elements. Several new challenges will be introduced in 2024. Returning favorites from last year include: -Farmers ford -Up yonder over the rock -Hay bale hustle -5 gallon bucket fill -Farmers carry -Sandbag shuffle -Low crawl -Balance block -Tractor pull Last year’s finish times ranged from 30 to 100 minutes. Expect slightly longer finish times this year. Awards will be issued for age group.
