Description
Join director Annette Becker for a tour of the collection storage area at the Texas Fashion Collection, an archive of nearly, 20,000 garments and accessories housed within The University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design. The tour will include discussion of preservation practices, organization, collection management and digitization. It will also feature unique artifacts including eighteenth-century embroidered coats, classic designs by Christian Dior, Cristobal Balenciaga and many others. Bring a jacket, the facility will be chilly. We will leave from Liberty Recreation Center. Bring money for lunch at Café Brazil in Denton.
