About this event
Out of the ashes, the formation of continents allowed greater evolution and biodiversity. Before they met their end with a cataclysmic asteroid impact, mighty giants roamed the earth. Together we will explore various species of dinosaurs, create an excavation site, make dino-skeleton models, hatch a special treat, and complete a scavenger hunt. We are excited to welcome an expert from the Academy of Natural Sciences for a personal introduction into paleontology and engage with a variety of fossils. Let’s dig up some history! Programs run from 9:00am - 3:00pm, with drop-off available between 8:00 - 9:00am and prompt pick-up between 3:00 - 4:00pm. Drop-off & pick-up will take place at the front desk of the Lombard campus. There is a scheduled snack break and lunch time for all students. Each student must bring a packed lunch (with a drink) from home. Everyone must wear appropriate shoes for play and time outside (no slippers, crocs, or stuffies please).
