Under the expert direction of martial artist Mr. Edgar Velez, Karate I students will learn and practice drills designed to condition their minds and bodies—with a strong emphasis on fun. Mr. Edgar specializes in teaching children of all ages, experience levels and backgrounds, and is dedicated to instilling in his young students the benefits of hard work, respect, compassion and drive, both in and outside of class. If a Karate I student already has had one or more terms of Karate, please enroll him/her in the class in which you believe he/she will feel most comfortable and which will be the best fit for your family’s schedule. Newcomers are welcome, and please mark your calendars for the end-of-the-term performance on Monday, May 23, at 3:25 p.m. Please note: Early Childhood Program students must be four years old by January 1, 2016, in order to participate in Karate I. If your child does not already own a gi (uniform), please indicate his/her size at registration. If your child wishes to enroll in the Karate II class as well, and is not already an ASP participant, he or she may attend ASP before Karate II class for a modest additional fee. Please note that this club will not begin until Monday, April 18 and the price has been prorated.
