About this event
Does your child have a passion for making things from scratch? This program will keep hands busy through opportunities to explore creativity through cooking and sewing. In the first half of the day, students will discover how to prepare delicious dishes safely and skillfully, learn food terms from around the world, and receive simple recipes they can use at home, while learning food safety and fostering some culinary independence. In the afternoon students will switch to crafting with needle and thread to design and create unique projects. Together students will discover various techniques, stitches, decorative embellishments and craft stylish garments, accessories, and home decor items, while developing essential sewing skills and unleashing the imagination. Come combine learning with fun to become a cooking and sewing enthusiast! (Please note: No experience or special materials needed. All materials are included in the cost of camp. Recipes will be nut-free and oven-less; however, those with food allergies should be mindful of exposure to allergens and thoughtfully consider this before enrolling.)
