Adult Encaustic Painting Class Instructor: Maria Latour Apr 15 - Apr 29 Day: Mondays Time: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm 3 weeks (M) $146 (NM) $160 (students bring their own supplies) Max of 9 students Encaustic is a painting method using hot beeswax and pigments resulting in layers of rich color. It is perfect for incorporating other materials like paper and fabric into the wax. Students will explore various encaustic techniques including layering, fusing, incising, embedding, and image transfers. Studio safety will also be covered along with tips for setting up your own encaustic studio at home.
