Introduction to the basics of paddling techniques, paddle equipment, general water & paddle safety. We will paddle the tidal historic Squamscott River according to the weather and water conditions, offering Backcountry Cooking on days we cannot get on the river. Backcountry Cooking will include the basics of fire building, food preparation and cooking and baking over an outdoor fire. * All equipment provided for paddling days of this session.
