Students will learn the basics of the fashion industry and the creative process of being a fashion designer, including designing and fabricating a fashion ensemble. Included will be: • Overview of fashion history of the 20th into the 21st century • Famous fashion designers and their signature looks • The design process • Finding inspiration for your designs • Generating ideas and creating mood boards/sketches • Drawing and painting for fashion plates • Fabric selection and swatching • Creating your collection Instructor: Lori Smith-Gann
