In this handwork class, students will have the opportunity to learn embroidery, cross stitch/needlepoint, dyeing fibers, knitting in the round, hand sewing, and sewing 3 dimensional objects. In 6th through 12th, students are provided instruction and frameworks, while being allowed to fully express and experiment within that frame. This age group are allotted a year end capstone project to further dive into their chosen niche. Capstone proposal boards will be shown at the Winter Showcase, capstone projects will be shown at the Spring Showcase. Students are encouraged to embrace their individuality through their creativity.
