This is the continuation of the Wednesday German B2: Advanced course from the Fall Semester. German language competency required to enroll in German B2: Advanced – Spring Semester: Understanding: The language learner should be able to understand conversations about daily routines, and specific topics like traveling around the world, health and diet. The language learner should be able to follow the news on TV and on the radio. Speaking: The language learner should be able to talk about daily routines, and specific topics. The language learner should be able to contribute to almost any kind of discussion. Reading: The language learner should be able to read any kind of article in newspapers, and almost any kind of book. The language learner might have to research some vocabulary in the dictionary. Writing: The language learner should be able to write any kind of essay, email or letter. In essay writing, they should be able to meet the expectations of a written piece with 500 – 1000 words. They should be able to express their opinion and share their point of view in any kind of writing style. Grammar: The language learner should be able to correctly apply most grammatical structures. The sentence structure will be correct in most cases. The language learner should be familiar with: Conjunctive II in past tense, Conjunctive II in past tense with modal verbs and causal conjugations.
