Jump in the van and venture to Browns Mountain at Kings Mountain National Military Park. Browns Mountain stands at 1,047 feet at its peak. Hike a beautiful trail and chat with an Outdoor Recreation Specialist about the flora and fauna. See additional notes below before registering.Pre-registration required by 3/31.
Location: Browns Mountain via Kings Mountain Trail. Shuttle provided from Stevens Creek Nature Center; driving time approx. 1.5 hours each way. Appropriate for ages 7+; expect to travel up to 5 miles on natural surface trails with easy to moderate terrain. This hike qualifies for the 100 Mile Hike Club. We will also have time to explore the Visitors Center.
Prior to the program, the instructor will email important information on how to prepare, what to bring, etc.
