Shine on stage at DSHA! Community Theatre Works (CTW) is an intensive, four-week rehearsal process combining the talents of DSHA students and alumnae, middle school students, and community members. Students in grades 5-12 will work in tandem with local theatrical talent in a caring theatre environment that involves mentoring, teaching, learning, and growing to produce a summer musical. Students will experience all aspects of the production from auditions to rehearsals to full performances before eager audiences. Campers will even have exposure to the behind-the-scenes work of creating a set from scratch and how to collaborate with stage crew. Students grades 5-12 must register before auditions. Auditions are required. All in rising grades 5-12 get a part in the show! Please bring your audition packet with you to auditions. Rehearsal Schedule June 17 - July 3 (M-F) | Gr. 5-8, 1-4 p.m. | Gr. 9-12 + Leads, 12-4 p.m. July 4 + July 5 | No Rehearsal July 8 + 9 (M + T) | Tech Rehearsal for All | 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. July 10 + 11 (M-Th) | Dress Rehearsal for All | 12-8 p.m. July 15 (M) | Strike | Gr. 5-8, 1-4 p.m. More information: Boys are eligible and encouraged to participate. In order to participate, you must attend all performances and may not miss more than two rehearsals. Adults are called to audition for this community theatre experience with adult rehearsals being flexible. Performances take place in The Robert and Marie Hansen Family Fine Arts Theatre at DSHA. Tickets will be available on June 17. Tickets are $12 for students and seniors, $15 for adults. An additional refundable $50 check per student must be submitted to be returned on July 15 after participating in strike. (It will be deposited only if absent from strike.)
