Join us as we plan and design the play, The Wizard of Oz, as if it would be performed on the stage! Students will come up with ideas for each character's stage make-up. Then, they will get to use actual face paint on each other to try out their designs. Next, they will design and build Dorothy's house out of cardboard, and work out how it would be whisked away by a tornado to the Emerald City. They will also learn about the story behind the creator of the Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum. On the last day of the project, they will create promotional posters to publicize the show using photos of their make-up and stage craft
