HFC is thrilled to announce that we will be offering our second annual weekend-long camp retreat for HFC members in June 2024. DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS CAMP UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED A SPOT VIA EMAIL FROM HFC PROGRAM MANAGER! WHAT: 2024 HFC TRUE FRIENDS CAMP RETREAT WHEN: 3 PM Friday, June 21st - 11 AM Sunday, June 23rd WHERE: Camp Courage -- 8046 83rd St NW, Maple Lake, MN 55358 HFC staff, members, families, and caregivers will enjoy a two-night retreat located at Camp Courage, part of True Friends. Participants will have the opportunity to experience camp, relax, recharge, and connect with others during this weekend retreat. Activities will include a ropes course, zip line, bonfires, kayaks, paddleboards, volleyball and other sports, hiking, arts & crafts, and more. Rain or shine, there will be a whole lot of HFC-style friendship and fun. HFC will follow parent/caregiver guidelines for this retreat. Members may join independently if it is appropriate/safe for them to do so. Parents and caregivers are welcome for any member. If you are unsure whether or not a caregiver should accompany your member, please reach out to Program Manager Holly. As a True Friends retreat, HFC rents out lodging, meeting spaces, and activities. There will be light HFC staff presence at the event, but no True Friends staff, nurses, facilitators, etc. (with exception of ropes course/zip-line). Lodging is accessible to all. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. All activities, as well as cabin lodging and meals, are included in the cost of this program. Packing list and specific schedule/details will be released as event time nears, as well as facilitation of carpooling to and from camp. Member cost: $275 Parent/caregiver cost: $225
