Description
For our second installment, our Getty visit will take us to XIXth century Paris where Hippolyte Bayard was a pioneer of photography.
We will talk about Bayard in relation to his contemporaries as well as the birth of photography both as a medium and an artistic form.Getty Center, Friday, May 10th, 9:45 am to 11:30 am
We will meet at 9:45 am right at the parking elevator exit, Tram level.Your guide, Marie Velde, will have your tickets and you will go through security together before hopping on the tram.
Notes: The Getty Center parking opens at 9:30 am. We will make the reservations but the parking fee of $25 will be your responsibility. Weather can be cold and windy on the hill; please pack an extra layer as well as water.When our class ends at 11:30 am, you will be free to take advantage of the Getty's other amenities: art galleries filled with well-curated art, luscious gardens and cozy cafeteria among others.Member: $30 / Non member : $45 - no refund
