Description
Learn basic techniques of sculpting. Topics may include creating emotion, exploring finishing techniques, and preparing work for firing. Participants will be challenged to create more complicated projects while developing a personal style. Projects may include figurative and non-figurative subjects. Beginner. Skip Date: Apr 3 & Apr 29.
Supplies needed: Bring your own clay tools or purchase one at the LCAC for $20 + tax. Clay may be purchased at the LCAC and is $20 + tax per 25-pound bag. A variety of clays are available. Basic tools are available for purchase or students may bring their own. Class fee includes glazes, most firings, and open studio time. There is a fee for re-fires & oversize work. You may not take glaze home. Small storage lockers are available for $20 per year.
