Event details and schedule

SOUTH BREMER TRAILS

Please join us for an exciting day of trail running, live music, great wine and even better company.

Our aim is to create an incredible running experience that won't break the bank.

On The Day.

When you purchase your race registration, you will be provided with 2 extra options.

Option 1: pre-purchase a grazing plate to enjoy with friends post-race and relax while listening to some live music on the lawn.

Option 2: pre-purchase a curated collection of Kimboltons' best wines to enjoy at home with friends and family.

Both can be collected post-race on the day.

Toilets. There will be toilets available on-site, but also public toilets in the heart of Langhorne Creek at the Town Hall. It is recomended that you try and use the public facilities on your way in to reduce lines and wait times before taking to the start line.

Food and drink. As stated above, you can pre-purchase a grazing plate to avoid lines and wait times however there will be food and coffee vans available on the day also. These are TBA as we are trying to prioritise using local vendors to support the community and as such working with their respective schedules can be challenging.

Parking. There will be some parking at the Kimbolton Cellar Door, and due to our entry cap of 250 runners we should accomodate most of you. But we will deliver some options for overflow parking in our race briefing which will be emailled out closer to the date. As always, please try to carpool wherever you can.

The course. A fast, flat trail race. The long and medium distances both contain approximately 1km of bitumen road, and the rest is compact dirt road and sandy track. The short course contains around 100m of bitumen road and the rest is dirt road and sandy track. Please note the short course is 2 laps.

What to bring. There will be aid-stations but we do recomend bringing some form of drink/nutrition if you are doing the long and medium courses. At this stage there will be 3 drinks stations for the long course, 2 for the medium and 1 for the short. Please bring a carry cup to reduce the need for disposable cups.

Other gear. There is no manadatory gear for this race but we recomend some amount of water (especially on the long course), a hat and a mobile phone wherever possible in the unlikely event that you will need first-aid assistance. As for shoes, a lightweight trail shoe will be ideal but a sturdy road shoe will also suffice as there is no technical sections and no hills.

Road closures. The roads will be closed for the duration of the race. This is to ensure the safety of the participants and volunteers. There will be a course sweeper and as the last runners come through we will be opening sections of the road so as to minimise the disturbance to local residents. If you are planning to walk we can only accomodate you on the short course due to our strict cut-off times.
