Discover the excitement of using a map and compass to find hidden markers along a short course in Rose Hill, Kamloops. We will start with an introduction to orienteering, map reading, and compass use, then run/walk a full course. Small prizes for all! Bring a compass if you have one; they will be available if needed. This program is an extension to the previous Orienteering/Map Reading course held at McGowan Park but is open to anyone interested. The course is generally flat, with a few dips. Dress for the weather as we will go ahead rain or shine. The parking is located behind the recycling drop off on Bunker Road (off McGill Rod). To reach the parking area, turn off McGill at Truck Chilling Park.
