Hike a scale model representation of our solar system and marvel at how small we really are, and the vastness of space. To reach the hike, follow the signs that begin directly across from the front entry of the Earth Discovery Center - you can get as far as Saturn by hiking the easy “Pin Oak Loop” marked by the yellow leaf sign, but if you want to hike all the way to dwarf planet Pluto you’ll need to follow the Orange Trail for nearly 3/4 mile, just past Eagle Beach Drive! Free with park admission, available March 9th-April 9th during Eagle Creek Park hours 7am-7:30pm (8:30pm after daylight savings), seven days a week. The Earth Discovery Center is open 10am-5pm Mon-Sat, 1pm-5pm Sun, closed Wednesday March 13 from 1pm-5pm for staff training. Please note: park admission April 8th is by reservation only due to the total solar eclipse.
