Description
Did you know June 18 is International Picnic Day? Pack a picnic and stop by the EDC Shelter any time form 11:30am-1:30pm. Picnic tables will be first-come, first served so you may want to put a blanket or two in the car if the picnic tables fill or you want to have a lawn picnic.
You provide the picnic, and we will provide the play. Staff will have a variety of loose parts for families to play with in the grassy area between the Go Ape Cabin and the EDC shelter. There will be things like foam rock blocks, ribbon wands, balls, hula hoops, and more for you to play and create your own games. If your child loves unstructured play, you should make plans to join us.
Wear some sunscreen and join us for an afternoon of food and fun. Don't forget to pack some water too! Please leave any of your own toys at home so they don't get mixed up with the ones everyone can play with.
This program is free with park admission and is probably best for children ages 5-12 with their families, but all ages are welcome to attend. Park admission is $6 per car for Marion County residents and $7 per car for non-residents.
