Description
Get up early and join a naturalis to learn birding basics. We'll talk about what to look for when identifying birds, practice how to focus binoculars and compare different styles of field guides. Then we'll head out on a hike to try our identification skills. If you have binoculars and a favorite field guide, bring them; otherwise, we will have a few to share. The hike will be 1 miles to 2 miles over uneven, natural terrain. This program will begin at Hawthorn Grove Shelter in the back parking lot.
