About this event
*These classes are for children who have attended our intermediate level classes last semester or have prior experience playing chess. If your child has just started chess classes last semester, please enroll into Chess Beginners II class instead. Our Intermediate Chess course takes young chess enthusiasts to a more advanced level of play. Students will dive into the world of strategic thinking with more complex tactics and strategies, including pinning, skewering, and fork attacks. Emphasis will be placed on grasping essential concepts such as pawn structure, piece development, and center control. Additionally, students will sharpen their ability to recognize and defend against common checkmate patterns. Guided by an experienced chess instructor, children will engage in practice games, puzzles, and interactive lessons to elevate their proficiency. Students will also be invited to participate in our monthly chess tournaments to further challenge and showcase their newly honed skills.
