About this event
Girls Code - in partnership with Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) - is a ten month program that will introduce girls in grades 6-9 to programming through fun and challenging activities. Each three hour session will cover progressively advanced computer science concepts, and give participants hands-on coding experience. This year, they will be introduced to Artificial Intelligence while creating interactive games and programming robots. And they'll make friends along the way! No previous coding experience is required, just an interest in learning more about programming and robotics. It will be hosted in person at the Goldberg Computer Science building on Dalhousie University’s Studley campus once a month, on the third Saturday. The dates are as follows: September 23rd, October 21st, November 18th, January 20th, February 17th, March 23rd, April 20th, May 11th (moved to avoid Victoria Day) and June 22nd.
