Six IN-PERSON sessions March 18, 25, April 1, 8, 15, 22 Today Hollywood is a virtual concept—Hollywood is no longer confined to an area of Los Angeles. Hollywood can be anywhere creative artisans, technologists, specialized lawyers, and financial speculators work together to create entertainment for a worldwide marketplace. Sharing his 50 years of experiences as an entertainment industry professional, Andy will take you behind the scenes where you can learn more about how entertainment projects come to life. This course will be entertaining and insightful with a little bit of gossip while seriously revealing the “truth.” This course will teach you about the “The Entertainment Industry” a multi-billion-dollar business that showcases the work, services, talent, and creativity of an international workforce that some people call “a dream factory”— also known as “HOLLYWOOD.” Andy Waterman is a music industry veteran and producer of significant music and media content. He is the CEO-Creative Director of Umbrella Media LLC, Los Angeles and Nashville. In addition, he is the Founder-Owner-Lead Producer of Bakery Digital Sound and Vision, Los Angeles, Umbrella Studio-Los Angeles, and Windwood Sound Nashville. He has extensive international advertising experience producing music and soundtracks, including work on major US advertising campaigns for McDonalds, Mercedes, Toyota, and Mattel. His TV, Film, and Broadway credits are many. Disney’s Sing Me a Story, New Mickey Mouse Club, Kid’s Incorporated, Touched By An Angel, The Highlander, Mind of a Married Man, Line of Fire, Gilmore Girls.
