About this event
BIF’s Bioinformatics Club is focused on teaching students how to analyze biological data through the use of computer software. The curriculum is divided into 2 units, the first one focuses on teaching club members core concepts in biology such as cell biology and genetics. In the second unit, members will apply the knowledge of the concepts they learned by exploring biological databases online and analyzing the data using computer software. The club is a great opportunity for students interested in taking introductory biological courses or who want to deepen their knowledge of biological fields. Both the depth of the biological content and the complexity of the computer software will be adjusted for every member to push them to learn new content and develop projects unique to their background. The club will teach different skills to its members, including plotting databases and simple machine learning. Adult Advisor: Reet Mand Student Advisor: Raghav T., Akash S.
