Description
Art for All Abilities classes are a safe space for individuals with disabilities to join in on the classes offered by WCPR art instructors. If you do not have a disability, we kindly ask you leave the spots in this class open for those who do. Participation in Art for All Abilities classes is free to participants, but pre-registration is required as spaces are limited.Friday, June 7 - Clay Animals
Join instructor June Lusty in creating your very own clay creatures. Students will model animals using clay and paint them using underglaze colors. After the class is over, June will glaze the animals for the students and fire them in the kiln.
Important: students will not be able to take home their creations on the day of class. The pieces must be dried and fired to harden them. The pieces will need to be picked up approximately 2 weeks after class.
Students should expect to use clay, paint, and paintbrushes. Students who require additional assistance may bring an adult with them.
PALS Program (People at Leisure with Support): A caregiver is required to stay with those needing support.
The Art for All Abilities Program is made possible by contributions from the Tennessee Arts Commission.
For questions, please contact Liz.Friend@williamsoncounty-tn.gov. If you register but can no longer attend, please notify Liz so we can open the space to another participant.
