So sorry! We need to cancel this event due to the fact that Eugene Marathon is running right through Alton Baker Park. Watch our calendar later this year for more Community Science programs. Everyone is invited to participate in the City Nature Challenge project independently -- see https://mckenzieriver.org/city-nature-challenge/. Join us as we use iNaturalist to collect observations of the web of life in the Whilamut Natural Area and our Learnscape at our Bioblitz (part of the City Nature Challenge 2024)! At Nearby Nature, work with a small group and a knowledgeable leader who can help get you set up to contribute to this fun community science project. Volunteers will take photos of different plants, animals, insects, and fungi and upload them to iNaturalist for identification and a final species count.
