COURSE DESCRIPTION
Is your child curious, always looking for something new to discover, create, explore and make connections? The Makerspace is the ultimate workshop that provides a hands-on approach to designing and creating. The jump off point will be books, but then the students will take the projects to multiple dimensions and beyond. For example, using Welcome to Mars, students will plan a trip to Mars and build a shelter to live in when they get there. Modeling after Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai, students will plant tree seedlings, recycle coffee pods, and mix up seed bombs.
