About this event

Description

This is a beginner-level course. You may register or participate repeatedly each month, if you prefer and do not need to move on to Tai Chi: 24 Forms.
Learn the ancient art of Tai Chi from a Board-Certified Tai Chi for Health Instructor who will incorporate tai chi principles into the practice using authentic tai chi forms.
Tai Chi for Health (Foundational Part 2) is the sequel to the Foundational Part 1 class. It's the perfect way to continue improving your physical and mental wellbeing, with its slow and flowing movements helping to reduce stress and boost your energy levels.
Sun-style tai chi (from Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Arthritis Program) is easy to learn, effective, and safe. This evidenced-based approach is recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Form variations will be taught to offer students of all different levels of practice and to those who may have varying medical conditions to make tai chi fun, accessible, and enjoyable.Further, it includes incorporating Seated Tai Chi for those with limited mobility.
As in the Foundational Part 1 class, the teaching system is the Stepwise Method. This approach effectively teaches students of all different learning styles (e.g., visual, auditory, kinesthetic, combination).
We invite you to invest in yourself, your health and discover the mental and physical health benefits of tai chi.
