Tour the world famous Mollie Kathleen Mine and descend 1000 feet underground. Experience the Old West in the Cripple Creek area. Teens will also get to hike on Little Grouse Mountain Trail and visit Rita the Rock Planter (troll). Bring a jacket for cooler temps of 50 degrees in the mine.
This activity is funded in part through a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado and Generation Wild.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Registration fee includes supervision, transportation and admission fee. Dress for the weather. Trip leaves from the City of Colorado Springs, Park and Rec. Main Office parking lot at 1401 Recreation Way (off I25 and Uintah). Parents must sign participant forms and waivers. Trips are non-refundable or transferrable after June 1
