Women’s Recreational Meet, Greet, and Play:
Recreational Round Robin Play (2.0 to 3.0)
Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals up for grabs as well as a random door prize drawing for pickleball items.
This is for those ladies who have already been in the Advanced Beginner clinic or have experience playing recreational pickleball or some other racquet sport. This Round Robin is designed for the “Recreational” Player and in the context of this Round Robin it means an “Advanced” Beginner. These are players with a Ranking 2.0 to 3.0
This is not a teaching clinic, but it will help you get more familiar with playing and the rules. Its purpose is to help you meet and play with others who have similar skill levels during match play and for me to help you with a little more instruction before you go to courts during “Open Play”.
NO NEED TO SIGN UP WITH A PARTNER
Other doubles formats in the system require that you find your own partner; however, in this exciting new format, you can sign up individually, or you can bring a partner. Either way, we will split everyone up and play games in a round robin format, with the winners being the players earning the top 3 point totals. This format allows players a chance to earn points as they play with, and against everyone else on the court.
Flight winners (gold, silver, and bronze), will be based on total points earned for the night, and will be awarded medals. There will also be a random drawing for a surprise pickleball related door prize.
This NEW fun event will happen on a monthly basis, and possibly more often, based on demand. The $15 entry fee is an introductory, reduced price when compared to other facilities in the system, and is intended to introduce folks to these wonderful College Grove courts.
**Courts are outdoor, so bring a lawn chair and some water, so you are comfortable and hydrated. This FUN event may be moved inside when weather conditions warrant the move (rain, excessive heat or cold, etc.)
** We need at least 24 hour notice if you have to cancel. Refunds will not be issued after classes have begun. 4-Player minimum per class, space is limited Contact Jeff (x 2116) or Dave (x 1965) at 370-3471 with questions.
