Recreational Round Robin Play (2.0 to 3.0)
NO NEED TO SIGN UP WITH A PARTNER
Other Mixed Doubles formats in the system require that you find your own partner, however in this exciting new format you can sign up individually or you can bring a partner. Either way we will split everyone up and play games in a round robin format with the winners being the players earning the top 3 points. That way everyone get a chance to earn points as they play with and against everyone else on the court.
This NEW Fun event will happen on a monthly basis and possibly more often (based on demand). The $15 is an introductory reduced price when compared to other facilities in the system and is intended to introduce folks to the College Grove Courts.
Flight winners (gold, silver, and bronze) will be based on total points earned for the night and are awarded medals. There will also be a random drawing for a surprise Pickleball Door Prize.
You must have already been in the Advanced Beginner clinic or have experience playing recreational pickleball or some other racquet sport.
This Round Robin is not going to be teaching skills, but it will help you get more familiar with playing and the rules. This Fun Round Robin format is designed to help you meet and play with others who have similar skill levels during match play. I will also be there to watch and give timely pointers to help everyone improve their play and build their confidence before you go to the courts during “Open Play”.
Again, a “Recreational” Player in the context of this Round Robin means an “Advanced” Beginner. These are players with a Ranking between 2.0 to 3.0
**Courts are outdoor, so bring a lawn chair and some water to help you stay hydrated. This FUN event will be moved inside when weather conditions warrant the move (rain, excessive heat or cold, etc.).
** We need at least 24 hour notice if you have to cancel. Refunds will not be issued after classes have begun. 4-Player minimum per class, space is limited Contact Jeff (x 2116) or Dave (x 1965) at 370-3471 with questions.
