About this event

Description

Aikido is an art that develops formidable power through a practice of moving meditation. Learning how to move from one's center is a process that keeps a person agile and strong during all stages of life. Japanese in origin Aikido's founder developed an art based on the movements of nature for a person's development of self confidence, skills in self defense, fitness and self control. But the founder was most interested in world peace by developing an art that enables people to get along with one another. Aikido training is useful training for all ages. Dr. Perry holds a doctorate in Philosophy, she is a 6th degree blackbelt with 48 years of training. She has run a successful local dojo for 35 years and has published many articles and books on Aikido. She is the Director of Aiko Institute and teaches this class. Uniforms are required at $85.
