About this event

Description

Aikido is an art that develops formidable power through a practice of moving meditation. Learning how to move from one's center is a process that keeps a person agile and strong during all stages of life. Japanese in origin Aikido's founder developed an art based on the movements of nature for a person's development of self confidence, skills in self defense, fitness and self control. But the founder was most interested in world peace by developing an art that enables people to get a long with one another. Aikido training is useful training for all ages. Dr. Perry holds a doctorate in Philosophy, she is a 6th degree blackbelt with 48 years of training. She has run a successful local dojo for 35 years and has published many articles and books on Aikido. She is the Director of Aiko Institute and teaches this class. Uniforms are required at $85.
