The WSI course is designed to train individuals to teach infant, child and adult courses from the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program. The WSI course develops an understanding of how to use course materials, develop lesson plans, conduct training sessions and evaluate participants progress. Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification. Pre-requisites: *16 years of age, verification needs to be provided at first class meeting. *Participants must bring a swim suit and towel to every class. *Students must attend all classes. *Students must demonstrate proficiency in all strokes by end of course to receive WSI certification. *Register at least 7 days before class as there is online course work required.
