Content Advisories: (IL, SV, V) – This play is set in a maximum security prison and includes strong profanity, violence and a theatricalization of sexual assault. When Andy Dufresne is convicted of murder and sentenced to life in Shawshank prison, he must use his wits and newly forged friendships to keep himself and his hope alive. But will he be able to survive the corruption and danger he faces within this notorious prison’s walls? Based on the novella by Stephen King and popularized by the highly acclaimed movie, The Shawshank Redemption is a story of resilience and a theatrical experience like no other.Participants are responsible for their own lunch in downtown Abingdon.
