About this event
Young Filmmakers first create a collaborative music video and then explore various techniques of animation (including contemporary means of GIF production and vector programming as well as traditional frame by frame and stop motion), effects and methods of persuasion that culminate in final group projects. Additional screenings of short projects from filmmakers diverse in technique, nationality, age and budget provide students with more inspirations about projects that are representative of their own unique views of media and their lives. As an excellent introduction and review of storytelling and teamwork for both new and returning students, the class frames mediated reflections of both lived experiences as well as collaboration.
