Description
"Introduction to Pickleball" is a great way to learn the sport of pickleball for beginners who may have little or no experience. We will cover the fundamentals for gameplay including basic groundstrokes, serving, dinks, and volleys. Guidelines and rules for pickleball including scoring will also be covered. This is a 4 session class (two per week). with the courses running from 9:30am-11:00am. Each class is limited to 8 participants
Mae Hiatt is a PPR Certified Pickleball Coach (#130695). With over 20 years of experience in teach, she's taking her expertise to the pickleball courts and sharing her love of the game with Carson City and beyond. Mae has volunteered extensively as a Pickleball Clinic instructor at other City and Community facilities. She is a member of the USA Pickleball Association and the Professional Pickleball Registry.
Suggested Materials: Participants should wear proper athletic attire and sturdy court shoes. Protective eyewear is encouraged but not required. Please bring a water bottle. Equipment will be provided during the course, but you are welcome to bring your own paddle.
