Description
Have you ever wanted to try backpacking but weren't sure how to get started? This is the perfect experience for you. Each trip begins with a pre-trip preparation class on Tuesday at 6pm before the trip. You'll learn how to pack, what to wear, eat, and more. Then, we'll take you on an overnight backpacking trip utilizing the skills you just learned. Destinations will vary, but all will be approximately 4-6 miles to an alpine lake with low to moderate elevation gain. Backpacking equipment and transportation included. While trips are designed for beginners, a moderate fitness level is required.
Classroom portion August 28th at 6pm in the Bonanza Room of the Community Center. The trip is August 31st through September 1st.
