This 6-8 hour course is for the beginning rifle shooter wanting to learn the operation of an AR type rifle. This class is more than just shooting; it is designed to teach you the fundamentals of operating your rifle. This class is intended to give you a base knowledge for handling and firing your rifle. You will leave comfortable manipulating a rifle in function, movements and around others. This course will prepare you to take our Combat rifle class. We will use a combination of your rifle (we have loaners if you do not yet own one), Training rifles, and our state of the art simulator. This class will cover subject matter such as: Firearms Safety Nomenclature – break down Cycle of Operation Fundamentals and techniques Loading/unloading/reloading Malfunctions Snap up drills Positional shooting Use of Cover and concealment Movements Moving and shooting Simulated fire This class is held indoors at our Defense Training Facility and does NOT require live ammunition. Learn in a climate controled, user friendly and safe environment.
