Description
Spend a week with the 2024-25 MRU Women’s Volleyball Program in a university training environment and learn what it takes to play at a post-secondary level.This camp is designed for female athletes planning on playing U16 to U18 club in the upcoming season, who aspire to play at the USPORTS or CCAA level.
CAMP FEATURES
- Meet and learn from current MRU women's volleyball coaching staff and athletes in a real USports training environment
- Train and compete each day in the same drills and activities used by the MRU women's volleyball team
- Advanced skills in 1st and 2nd contact, attacking, blocking and serving
- All training sessions include individual skill development followed by skill consolidation in game situations
- Offensive & defensive systems sessions: Gain a tactical advantage learning the Cougars systems of play
- All training takes place in Mount Royal’s Triple Gym
- Each session will also include 30 minutes off court, exploring ideas in high performance Strength and Conditioning, Nutrition and Mental Performance
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTSClub volleyball experience is strongly suggested
WHAT TO BRING
- Volleyball gear (shoes, knee pads, athletic clothing)
- Water bottle
- Pen and notebook/paper is encouraged for off court session

REFUND POLICYUp to seven (7) days prior to the activity start date: Refunds, less a 10% administration fee, will be processed. Transfers from one activity to another, subject to availability, will be processed with no administration fee.
From six (6) days up to 48 hours prior to the activity start date: Refunds, less a 10% administration fee, will be processed. Transfers from one activity to another, subject to availability, will be processed with a 10% administration fee.
Within 48 hours prior to the activity start date: No refunds will be provided. No activity transfers from one activity to another.
After activity start date: Prorated refunds, less a 10% administration fee, will only be processed with approval from the program supervisor for medical reasons.
